I'm having a hard time getting my Flip HD to charge. It is brand new and this is the first time I've had to charge it. Sometimes the red light is on and steady and other times the red light is flashing. What does the flashing mean? Is it better to plug it into my computer or wall charger?

I had this charging problem with 2 new Flip Ultra HD cameras...red light flashing..nothing on the screen after plugging in the USB port.
I removed the battery..plugged camera into USB port..pc recognized the camera... installed flipshare software..updated software...plugged battery back in..all good.
Why on earth the book doesn't mention these steps is beyond me.
