I'm replacing a non-hydronic electric baseboard heating unit with a Fahrenheat hydronic one. My old unit was 240v using 2 conductors plus bare ground wire. The fahrenheat (PLF series) unit's instructions are just a bit vague. The wires at the end cap are as follows: a) Two wires connected together with a crimped on connector b) A single green insulated wire with wire nut c) A pair of insulated wires (one red and one black) twisted together with a wire nut. The Thermostat is on the wall. The instructions say "Connect power supply to either end of heater by removing wirenut and connecting heater leads individually to supply leads"

Hello. The red and the black are the hot wires. Therefore, connect one of your conductors to the red and the other conductor to the black. Use wirenuts. The bare ground wire should be solidly attached to the new unit's green wire using a wire nut.
