Im trying to print barcode stickers for garments. Randomly all the datadoes not print on the sticker, not alwayssame data either. Also getting"bitmap errors, LINE 06 CODE 026, LINE72 CODE403. Using Nicelabel software and there support team told it was a hardware problem. Any suggestions to help me?
Error 403 is a field separator was not found. This is not a hardware error. It is a data error. This character is needed in order to determine when one line ends and the next begins. This may not be a Nicelabel issue if the character is being lost in transmission from the workstation to the printer. But it is definitely not a printer hardware issue.
Code 26 appears to be an undefined code. A little research may be needed to get to the bottom of that one. Are you sure that it isn't a 25? 25 would fit as a string length is outside the range.
When I read your comment about getting "bitmap errors", I am of the belief that you're downloading fonts or graphics to the printer, and because these datastreams can be long, if you don't have the correct settings for serial communications, specifically flow control, it is possible for buffers to overflow for a short enough period of time to lose just a couple of characters and then your data ends up broken and these errors can show up.
If there is a way to get the file that you're using for your printer, or the datastream that Nicelabel is sending to the printer, I may be able to provide further assistance, but again, this is showing as a data error and it is possible that because Nicelabel doesn't understand the codes that they believe it is a hardware fault. If it can process some of the labels produced by Nicelable, and not others, I see further confirmation of the data going to the printer as being broken.
