In a drunken haze on Friday night, I was looking for my camera for hours, to record the crazy antics of the eve. When I found it later, much to my dismay, the screen had several cracks on it. This is the result of it being found in my back pocket!! I have been able to get all the photos off the memory stick, and the camera still operates perfectly, except there is no image visible on the screen. When switched on there are no unusual whirring noises that would indicate internal mechanical problems. The camera model is an Olympus x-835, 8.0 megapixel, AF 3x optical zoom. Am I right in assuming that all is needed is a new screen? There are screws visible around the edges, which I have been told means that the screen can be replaced easily as the camera is not been moulded? I would be very greatful if you could advise me on how to proceed with the repair of a camera, as I have enjoyed using greatly and hope to continue to do so in the future. Thank you for your time. Paul. Manchester
