In have a spst 12v lighted toggle switch that i use in my hobby i cant keep it lighted i use it to shut off the power to sideing tracks on my ho model train. new to wireing it hase 3 blades pos acc neg . i used them to isolate a modeel train. i just want it to work and lite up when turned on. thanks gi joe
Hi Gi Joe. I am assuming that you are wiring this on the DC side of the train power supply. So, the negative from the power supply goes to one of the rail connections. From this run a wire to the negative of the switch. The positive of the power supply runs to the positive of the switch. The ACC of the switch runs to the positive connection of the rail. The switch breaks and makes the positive connection to the rail. The power supply is 12 volts I also assume. The light should now go on when the switch is set to ON and suppling power to the rails. The negative of the power supply provides a return so that the light goes on and the train can run. Please leave a comment if this helps. Joe
