My folks Storage heater has very recently began to smell. On investigating the white material membrane covering the insulation panel on the brick side of the insulation has ripped horizontally along its length and near the top. My thought is that the insulation is outgassing to a degree causing the smell (it is that type of smell).
Any ideas.
