In sink erator leaking at bottom by electrical connection
I have exactly the same problem with my in sink erator Badger5 plus as posted by treborzelazn. It started leaking where the electrical connection is at the bottom. How to fix? Can it be repaired? Thanks

I don't think it can be fixed by anyone other than the factory. I wanted to find a parts list so I could buy a seal that goes above the motor housing (which is where i think the problem really is) and repair it myself. I wish I had better news but since the leak is small and the motor still works, I'm going to keep a bucket beneath it and periodically empty it as recommended by a previous contributor.
I dismantled my Badger 5 InSinkerator because it was leaking water out of the bottom. From what I can see, there is a foam water seal gasket that seems to have eroded away. I need to find a replacement gasket...
We had a Waste King in our old house, it stopped working and they sent us a brand new one. We were not even the original purchasers of the unit and it looked old. In our new home there is an Insinkerator that looks like it is pretty old, it is leaking. I am buying a Waste King L-1001 Legend Series 1/2 HP Continuous Feed Operation Waste Disposer to replace it. I have just had better luck with them...
