In the middle of the call my phone will say "out of range" when I'm near the base
I have a brand new Uniden Dect 3080 Series phone. It runs on the 1.9Ghz band, and should not receive interference in my house from my wireless macbook pro, or my bluetooth devices.

Periodically during a call, when I am within 30' of the base, it will stop communicating with the base and say "out of range" on the screen. Walking right up to the base does not reconnect the call right away. Suddenly the call is "dropped" to my caller, and they hang up.

I have been unable to find a solution. My phone base is in the kitchen 10' from the nearest appliance, and not near any other wireless units for 20'

I have an apple wireless mouse, and a cell phone, but I cannot connect consistent interference problems to their concurrent use.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
I have a relatively new Model 28118 Series Slim DECT Multi-Handset Speakerphone Answering System.
I have unfortunately lost the purchase receipt.
The handset unit frequently looses contact with the base station.
This happens sometimes when the unit is first answered, sometimes in the middle of a conversation, and sometimes when the unit is out of the cradle (but fully charged and right beside the base unit)
This is beyond frustrating!
I've tried full re-sets of the unit and all other possible solutions.
I have no other equipment in the house that shares the frequency of the phone, and the unit is positioned as high as possible on the upper of two floors.
The unit is plugged into it's own power source and there are no metal or foil obsticles or objects in the vicinity.
I gather from searching the internet that others are also having this same problem, but have seen no solutions offered up yet.
I would return this unit in a heartbeat if I had the receipt, but I'm not quite ready yet to just throw it in the garbage ( but have come very close to doing so in total frustration!)
I've used numerous other GE products in the past, but have never had a problem, but I admit my experience with this phone is enough to turn me off GE and warn others of the lack of reliability.
