Indesit d63 dishwasher, door locked shut. took top off+got to latch, the plastic catch wouldn`t pull out of the latch. undid it all, all seems unbroken but cannot seem to arrange the latch so that it will allow the plastic catch to come out when levered. also not sure if the handle is supposed to click the switch to another position, or just tweak the switch as it opens the door. is a new latch supplied with the switch ?

Check with whoever you order the latch from, usually parts are individual for electrical parts and never assume that the screw or washer will come with new one, save every piece.
