Indoor unit freezing up
I have a Samsung Split system A/C Indoor unit Model # AS12ABMCF/KCV and an out door unit Model#US12ABMCF, The indoor unit is freezing up, I place the remote into the fan only position, and the outdoor unit still operates, (Ladyybug68 has givin me one solution pointed me in the direction of the contactor) The outdoor unit has no contactor the disconnect wires go straight to the terminal block and then from there go to the computer control board, the compressor is using start components, to start the compressor, I guess the question I have is with the remote in the Fan only mode, should the outdoor unit run at all, If not what sensors or controls on the indoor unit should I inspect?

THE OUTDOOR UNIT HAS A CONTACTOR WITH THE CONTACTS WELDED TOGETHER THE CONTACTOR CONNECTS TO THE COMPRESSOR AS IT TYPICALLY PULLS A SURGE OF 20 -30 AMPS OR MORE..WITH THE INDOOR UNIT IN FAN ONLY THE COMPRESSOR SHOULD NOT BE RUNNING. THE CONTROL WIRES GOING TO THE UNIT HAVE 24 VOLTS TO THE CONTACTOR TO PULL IN THE CONTACTS TO SUPPLY 220 TO COMPRESSOR.
