Infinity PS210 crackling noise instead of bass
Subwoofer powers up and produces a crackling sound instead of bass. Removed board and looks perfect. Probably has a problem but can't tell where it is.

Have you tried checking the sub cable? or swaping with another sub to make sure its a sub problem. Sometimes its the amp or the cable between. Im sure you tried this stuff already . Good luck
Your amplifier is breaking over, so the amp could have a cold solder joint on amplifier. Check out a schematic and check out the output amplifier and resolder it or replace it. There is a possibility that the Jack has come loose on the board where the cable jacks in. Do a wiggle test on Amp and Jack to see if loose. A lot of times those amps get hot and start breaking down. My guess is s cold solder joint, those things are out together by robots and so are prone to cold solder joints on the board
