Inherited brand new meade 114 DS telescope, put it together, but how the heck do you take off the dust cover of the main tube...I simply cannot figure it out! the customer care center not open yet, any help would be appreciated (have never had or used telescope before.) Thanx in Advance!

I wonder if you are trying to remove the wrong end?
The end that opens to the sky is the one next to the eyepiece holder. If you're trying the other end which has lots of screws for adjusting the mirror, I hope you've not upset the delicate alignment!
