Installation of new cd unit not working
Hi, first of all I am a bit of a dummy, I know very little. My cd rom drive was not working so I purchased a new one (no CD drivers were included - not that I know what they do!) I installed ok - or so I think.
I just done wire for wire.
Powered up and the cd rom drive is showing but with a yellow ! mark by it and the following statement come up when I right click on it:
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Go to the cd drive manuafacturers website. Under support you should be able to lookup your drive model & download the software/drivers you need. Hope this helps.
