Are you 100% that it is not blown, have you hooked up a meter to check the speakers resitance, if it is a home sun it should be a 8ohm speaker, if you have the owners manual check what impedance it is, if that checck out then try a different cable and then if you can try hooking it up to a friends AVR are you using high or low level inputs on the sub?
