Internet connection router connected but internet light on box not lit up. the computer with the router connected to it has sprint novatel wireless cannot make the other computer display web pages even though it is showing connected
Computers & Internet - Belkin - (F5D7230-4) Router (587009)
Here is what did it for me: I had restored the router to factory defaults when i was having my troubles. I downloaded the firmware update, or whatever it's called, from the Belkins website, and updated the router at the 192.168.2.1 place. i guess restoring to factory defaults had uninstalled the update. after this, everything has been working fine.
Connect to the internet via your normal modem then type in "192.68.2.1" into the web browser. This should take you to the wireless modem domain screen with all your info. Go to connection type, select wireless..etc. Then restart the router from this page in the lower left column. Once you do that take the ethernet cord from the back of the computer and plug it into the back of the wireless modem. There is a box at the top of the page on the right that starts off as not connected, but after you restart the router again or tweek some other things it should show green connected......Hope this makes sense.
so u have a wireless router and the computer that connects to it shows that is connected but it doesn't work on the internet ?
than the computer connecting to the router is connected, but the router it self is not connected to the internet ! Go at the router settings and configure the internet connection ...
if this is not the issue, please try to explain again with more details what the problem is....
