Internet connection The internet connection goes off most of the day. It often goes on when I make a call, especially a long distance call.I have checked all the connections. I have 5 phone extentions, and I have checked them all. We have static on the line off and on. We have had it for a long time. I wonder if it has something to do with the internet problem. I have a repairman coming to check the lines. The static also interferes with clarity when we make long distance calls. All of these problems are intermittent. Are u using a DSL connection? If so, this intermittent disconnection is caused when the DSL filter is not working or you have not connected the modem to the DSL filter at all. Make sure the filter is connected to the main line (main telephone line) and plug in the modem to the DSL port and the telephone to the other port as mentioned on the filter.
