Dear Experts,

My Intuos3 A4 tablet suddenly went faulty during my work.

The tablet is in normal condition and properly taken care of.

The problem is: there is a horizontal strip(around 1/4 of the tablet height in the upper centre) on the tablet is not responding.

The "|||||||||||||" area cannot detect any movement of the pen (tip or tail/eraser)-----------1.no movement of the cusor 2.no change or the blue light

what i tried:
1. update the driver (the driver is up to date)
2. change the PC (same problem on different PC), rule out the PC's problem
3. different OS (I tried it on XP and windows server 2003)
4.change the mapping setting of the tablet (full mapping, partial mapping whatsoever)

all of the above trials are not working.

Anyone can suggest any solution for that?
