IPod Nano, white, 4gb, I want to delete existing podcasts from the library in my iPod. Podcasts show up on the iPod but not on my PC. The podcast category shows up on the PC but the PC podcast library looks to be empty. The iPod syncs without a problem so why would the iPod and the PC not show the same file content? The iPod in nearly full. Deletion of the podcasts would give me room for more songs. No podcasts are currently subscribed to. The ones on my iPod were downloaded by my daughter years ago. She gave me the iPod when she got a newer one
I've had a similar problem in the past. The files on your iPod don't show up on your PC because your daughter put them there via another computer (possibly a Mac), and/or software other than iTunes. Your PC just can't detect them.
I used free software called Floola (http://www.floola.com/home/download_win/), to manually go into the iPod directory and deleted the unwanted files. It's very easy to do. Hope this helps.
