Is it a major to swap engine in a ford laser hatchback?
Car is manual and engine has blowen head gasket, i can get a cheap 2nd hand engine with warranty, and want to do it myself, but would you place it in the too hard basket, i am experienced in vehicles and have knowledge but have never done this specific task before, pretty sure car is late 80's early 90's. cheers joe

If you have general knowledge and take your time, it's possible to do. mark everything....every wiring harness, coupler, hose. everything. then you can match up to new engine. Take your time, and you could get a Chilton's manual for the car and it would about walk you through it (if you know a bit about cars)....find a buddy to help too, buy the beer make a day of it (make sure he's one of those car guys).
