Is it possible for just one iput to go bad? When I turn on the tv, sometimes the screen stays blue and there is a continous popping sound. I'm thinking it is only my HD input because I can still switch to HDMI input and watch a movie from my DVD player. Can I get this fixed?

Hello, The reason you have a popping sound is because there is a component that is being bridged on a panel in the television, which could be on the HD part. This can be as a result of excess heat in the unit melting off some lead and causing it to be bridged and causing some problems.
Yes you can get it fixed and yes you can have problems on just one the HD input only.
Thank you for the information. I should have mentioned it is intermittent, although it went from random (months ago) to often (I have to turn it on and off 4 or 5 time to get it to work). I see tuner boards on ebay, but I may just need to call a repairman to know which board it is.Thank you for the information. one will not be able to tell the particular panel to replace except it is assessed properly. So it is a good choice to have a repairman run a check on it so as to tell which board needs replacement.
