Is it possible for my Z4M printer to automatically rewind rather than going through the menu and manually setting it to rewind each time? It says saving permanent changes but I still have to change it for each print job

The best way to do this is to set the printer via software. This can usually be accomplished by prepending a "format" to the print job. The specifics for this are documented in the programming guide. This way all of the settings are defined for each print job. This will completely eliminate the need for any "permanent" settings.
