I am sure it is possible. Just was wondering the outcome.

Basically, I understand how the battery works and why.
I have drained the h20/acid out. And now I have the shell.
If I look down into the fill holes I see a cloth looking material.
It appears to be wrapped around the lead plates. I assume to prolong the life of the DEEP CYCLE battery. If i failed to mention the latter part.

Any suggestions....Can I open the battery and clean the plated?
Of course a precautions for safety will be implemented.
And I am aware lead should not be handled with thy hands.

Any one here done some time with this.
