Is it possible to switch out the complete ignition from one 2002 alero to another of the same kind. i'm affraid ill set of a security code
There are 2 wires that i've heard i can just cut and splice back together with the other ignition and it should work.

The ignition switches are made to be replaced. You should not have to cut or splice anything, those parts would stay in the vehicle and attach to the ignition switch.
