No. Not with the spool up on the gun. It is one of the few flux core specific welders.
This is not to say you could not try. the hard part is the plumbing between the gun and the main box. If you can get that figured out it would otherwise be the same components as other MIG welders.
Hey John, thanks for the info. I now know for sure and it's not something I am overlooking. Do you know where to hook up gas if I do get it run from the gun to the box? On the gun side is what end I'm talking about!Hey John, thanks for the info. I now know for sure and it's not something I am overlooking. If the contactor for the speed control/wire feed motor is up in the gun, the soilenoid would mount up there. If the contactor is in the main box, the solenoid would mount inthe main box.
The hose from the gun end would simply attach to the solenoid, and the flow meter output would go to the solenoid. If the solenoid, is mounted up on the gun the tank with regulator and flow meter could go anywhere. and obviously, if the solenoid is mounted in the main box, the tank and regulator would need to be in the vicinity of the box.If the contactor for the speed control/wire feed motor is up in the gun, the soilenoid would mount up there.
