Yes. Bottle gas is propane, which is not natural gas. The gases behave a little differently, so the burners operate a little differently. Some are easily convertible, other not, but they are most definitely not interchangeable.
By bottle i am assuming you mean propane. yes there is a difference , natural gas is mostly methane gas (ch4) a very small molecule, propane is (c3h8) a much larger molecule. so they require different gas nozzles and cannot run a unit on the other fuel, some can be converted to run other gas. generally natural gas units are cheaper to run, but cost more for installation as a gas line has to be run to the unit and benefit of not running out of fuel. hope this helps.
