Do you have experience with electronics? Check for any broken solder joints around the circuit board. Test the resistance of the volume pot. The resistance should go from near zero to the resistance labeled on the pot. If either of these tips does not solve the problem, take it to a Marshall repair center(with the sales receipt of you have it) and they may fix free of charge. As long as it's not a transformer, it should be a cheap repair.
