It gets hot but doesnt dry
We recently moved into a new house, and when i tried to dry a load of clothes the other day they wouldnt dry. inside the drum in the back of the washer there is a big metal plate. its hot, and the air coming from the vent outside is warm, but there is no warm/hot air circulating in the dryer to dry the clothes. I took a vaccum to the lint trap and made sure that was cleared out and that there were no obstructions anywhere else..im not sure what else to do?!

Please find and check both the intake the exhaust. You said it was warm outside and that is a good sign. There may be a partial obstruction on the intake.
If there is air moving (you said there is) and if the heat is on (you said it is) and the drum is turning (you dont say), it has to dry. Can you hear the stuff in the dryer? If not there is a possibility that the drum is not turning ... but I doubt this.
What is suppose to happen is the motor should be drawing the air out of the drum area and moving it into the exhaust duct. Room air is suppose to be drawn into the machine, past the heater (gas or electric) into the drum, through the fan into the exhaust. Something is clogged I think.
I'm rambling ... sorry

You will need to remove the front cover,by removing 2 kick panel screws at the base of the front of the machine, remove front cover and make sure blower wheel is turning,if so,then remove any heating ductwork and vacuum out all lint, this sounds like a restriction inside the machine for air flow
