It will not work with my power inverter in my truck, but it works when used on a regular 120v outlet. My power saw and my HILTI Drill work but the METABO UHE 28 Multi just will not work at all??? WHY ???
The Metabo UHE28 has the Metabo Electronics. The electronics in the tool is designed to read a true sine wave. The power inverter in your truck changes the DC current to AC and puts out what is called an artificial sine wave. These two are not compatable. In short the electronics in the drill does not like inverters. It will not work.
The inverter isn't putting up enough power to drive the metabo. You may be able to give it a "running start" by rotating the blade along a board while pulling the trigger. This isn't a good practice, however, as the board or the saw could slip, so be doubly careful if you try something like this. Your best choice would be to get a bigger inverter.
