This camera is a power hog,,,,It sounds as though your batteries are low or one of them may be defective,,,Put some fresh heavy duty alkaline batteries in it and try again...If you have rechargable batteries in it then they may need to be removed and recharged and or upgraded to heavier batteries...I installed 10,000 milliamp/hr batteries and bought a solar panel for mine...It took 74 pictures on Hi resolution last night... You will have to reset the day and time after removing the batteries...
