It would not start and I have to take out the relay for the gas pump
It start fine one time but the other I have to take out the relay and wait for 5 minutes and out the reley back and then will start

Could be a bad relay. If the car has another relay with the same electrical specifications, put the relay in it's place to see if the issue remains. Put the questionable relay in the other spot and see if it functions properly. If it does, the issue is elsewhere. Related, but elsewhere.
