IT3800 keeps disabling my keyboard, also won't scan into the field
So I have a 1999 Dell in the library where I work, and I've been trying to install the IT3800 as a keyboard wedge to start checking out books, and it keeps disabling my keyboard, regardless of the codes that I use. I am not sure what terminal code to use, either, given that Dell isn't on the list. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What interface? USB, PS2, or serial.
If it is USB, try to update the driver on the Dell.
PS2, If it is connected as a Y cable there is probably a program setting needed in the scanner to end the scan input and return input to the keyboard. As Mr Wright stated we need more information.
What operating system is running on the Dell PC? What version of the IT3800 User Guide are you using? With answers to these questions I might be able to assist you further.
