Its a 4 cyl and it wont start new fuel pump & filter , new plugs . Son in law just got the truck . its been setting a long time has 56,000 on it . it was running then it just quit . HELP Please

Have you drained and flushed the old gas out of the system ?
It should have a fuel pressure test port schrader valve. Looks like a larger version of a tire valve stem. If possible test or have tested the fuel pressure.
I did that after i changed the fuel filter and it shot up to the hood .
What year? What engine? Carburator? Fuel injected?
