I've been trying with the latest infinity drivers i could find but the sound is still all cracking up when talking through vent, tp and skype. have gone through all the configurations in the programs as well but there just aint no cutting it. what would be the problem?
Computers & Internet - DFI - NF4 SLI Infinity Motherboard
1) It could be your internet connection...if it's not shovelling data fast enough in both directions you get sound dropping out. Test this by seeing how your computer records sound locally...read a book or paper to Sound Recorder for 30 seconds or so, and see what the sound quality is like. If that's fine, it's probably your (or the person at the other end) internet connection. The only solution to this is upgrade your connection, or trying to talk at a different time of day (evenings are busiest)
2) Are you using an external microphone/headset? A dodgy connector or broken wire would give you broken sound too. =================================================== Please rate me if you found this helpful. Thanks.

Two possible things come to mind.
