The garage opener is circa 2000 vintage. It doesn't have a marketing name on it....other than just "Craftsman". On the keypad It says I need the code to reprogram it but I just moved in and nobody knows the code so how can I reset it and program a new code into it?

On the back of the motor unit near where all those white wires go you will find the smart/learn button. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to your keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter. Should do it.
