Hi i have the same bike & you do need to remove the exhaust to get the wheel off i wish i had not got my bike as the exhaust only lasted me for 5000 miles & it cost me 475 pound,
You need to remove the nut in the centre of the back wheel you will need to hold the wheel tight so it dont turn or get someone to hold the back brake on for you once the nut is of the wheel will come off you may need to also remove the exhaust depends on how much gap there is
