JEEP losing power and vibrating.Problem occurred last year too.Taken to Dealer who hooked up to management system and reported software fault. No physical mechanics or parts used and no real explanation given,
Go to that dealer, and ask for a specific reason that they flashed your pcm. Then ask for the the software number, and exactly why the tech decided this was the correct thing to do.I worked in a Chrysler dealership, and flashing the pcm is a great way to get rid of a car that you can't fix. I would go back, report the same problem, and insist on reasons why they are doing what they are doing. Many of the dealership techs nowadays , are quite inexperienced, as this holds down costs, and the rely upon the scan tools, and electronic diagnostics, as this is what they were taught, and often miss the mechanical faults. As a master tech of 25 years, I'm not judging, I'm just saying.
