Jenn-Air JED8430BDB blowing fuse following ceiling fan work ...OUTside!
Dear Mr. Eddie:

Although I am no electrician, I had thought my installation yesterday of 2 ceiling fans in parallel with my back patio light switch had gone fine. Both fans are now** working fine ..along with the original porch light.

What is too too much of a coincidence is how my island glass to burners & fan no longer work. In fact:

A. Yesterday they "popped" and threw the outside top "double" fuse when I turned on the burner;
B. Today, all seems to be working fine (with no fuse issues) EXCEPT for the near-left burner. The burner lights & heats as normal; HOWEVER, the “on” indication below the dial remains lit ..even though I’ve turned the burner OFF and the safety ( red dot) light is out.

**When first trying the new fans, they below their circuit’s single circuit breaker ..( not same the double one for the stovetop). After fixing the short on the outside light switch circuit, all working fine outside. I’m curious if I may have possible “zapped” the dial / switch mechanism for the now contantly-lit burner dial?

Regardless, is there a “DiY” way to source & replace the burners switch/dial?
