Jerking problem 2008 jeep compass when driving in the city at speeds between 30 & 45 kilometers the truck jerks almost continously, feels like it is running out of gas. Had the jeep to the dealer several times with no satisfaction. they just handed me the keys and said they can not figure this one out, nice for a new vehicle

It sounds like the truck might be 'hunting' for it's gear - try shifting the transmission down one notch, and see if this stops the jerking... at least it will give you a better indication of the problem.
