Just bought a new Curtis Progressive Scan DVD Player and the remote will not work. I have changed batteries twice. Is this a problem with the remote, or with the sensor?
Changed batteries twice, there is no obstruction between the player and the remote. Even tried pointing the remote directly at the sensor with no result. Have also tried unplugging and disconnecting everything and starting over. I've lost the receipt, so I cannot return the player. I can play DVD's, but cannot pause or access other options on the DVD without the remote, which is rather inconvenient.

You can always take it in for a warranty check ( still under warranty)and regardless of a receipt problem the payment details will be on the retailers records as to when you purchased it .
