Just bought a whole previously used set: the LeapFrog LeapPad with books and cartriges, but the system says it does not recognize the cartriges. What's wrong?

Here i can analyse that you purchased an old one , it's simple the cartridges have become faulty till this time an this do happen with them as they become old.
perhaps you may complain it to that person and get it compensated because this would probably be the reason he sold it to you
