Just bought an optima 729. It lights up okay but just runs through its menu on top left hand side. It will not link to my hp laptop. Any ideas please. Regards jim

a 15 year old projector good luck with that. NO PC stated (make nor model) no OS stated., windows what? w10? the PROJ< has an OSD , and remote control ,did you lose that.
to use the USB port , you need the CUSTOM PC software (now gone) what is the chance 15 year old software runs on windows 10? call them and ask them, their web site forgot it existed. https://www.optoma.com/us/
the maker shows zero support on 15 year old products. the manual does not cover this software name or usage. (my guess other manuals lost for that) for USB port. sorry
