Just got my daughter the Leap Pad 2 with rechargeable batteries, but never got to use it becuase it never charged. Had it plugged in all day, it worked briefly while it was still plugged in, but shut off immediately when unplugged. After using it while plugged in, we only got about 3 mins of power before it automatically shut off again. Very dissappointed! please help~

Did it come with the batteries installed or seperate? Make sure they work in another device after they charged for 24hrs.
sometimes there is a seperator tap inside that needs to be pulled out
