Just had an American Standard Freedom 95 furnace installed today. The installer left after turning it on and didn't get a good check of the system--will be back tomorrow, but it's cold tonight. I noticed that there's no hot air coming out of the vents. The furnace fan is running fine but there's a red light inside that flashes 6 times and then the green light flashes 2 times. I've tried restarting it but there's no change. Can someone tell me what the 6 red lights mean? I may be able to get some hot air tonight if I knew what the problem might be. Alaska is still cold at night
Most furnaces have a tech manual inside. Under the blower cover should be a trouble shooting guide. Call the dude and tell him what the problem is. You have no other source of heat and you live in alaska?. If I was you I would invest in a comfort glow gas vent free heater for emergency. No power is needed to operate the heater.
