Just purchased our Cuisinart Stainless Microwave, plugged it in, read the operational instructions and set the clock. As a test, we tried to heat water....does not work. Any suggestions?
If your oven will not start the usual problems are:
a. Electrical cord for oven is not plugged in. b. Door is open. c. Wrong operation is set.
Presuming you have been able to set the clock correctly and it is functioning then you do not have an issue with power supply.
Make sure all packaging material has been removed and the door is closing securely.
Review the instructions for operating.
For a test place your cup of water in the microwave and close door. Choose a cooking time using one of the Express Cook settings from 1 - 6 or enter a time with the number keys; Press Start/+30sec. to start cooking.
If the microwave does not work, unplug for a few seconds, then plug back in and try setting the clock and runnig another test.
If the micorwave still does not operate and you are confident you have followed the installation and setup instructions correctly I would return to the vendor as a defective unit.
Yes! Take it right back to the store for exchange, cause could be a bad magnetron "that heats food" and a couple parts that work together with the magnetron,or there may be issues with the keypad, none of these will be cheap to fix.
