Start at the battery. Use a volt meter to see the battery voltage, then again with the key on trying to start. If you are below 12 volts, and then below 9ish while trying to start, you have a battery issue. Follow up with the results please.
What is your battery voltage? 12 volts or more? Connections are clean and tight on the battery? This sounds like a battery that has internally shorted out and is unable to provide sufficient voltage to the entire system. From the info you provided, it is a great place to start a diagnosis.
The relay has two terminals and sindle wire running to it,it sort of looks like a solenoid. The relay has two terminals and sindle wire running to it,it sort of looks like a solenoid.

Sounds like there is a blown fuse in the fuse box.
1.) pop open the fuse box
2.) pull out each fuse 1 at a time and inspect the wire to see if its burnt or broken.
3.) replace with same type fuse
4.) also there is a relay which controls the distribution of power you may need to check that.. But I'm certin its a fuse.
Have you check thed switch???> the one the key turns ?
