If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on: Please see my basic troubleshooting guide here: http://www.fixya.com/support/r5093881-lcd_flat_panel_tv_troubleshooting_guide http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague Parts: www.shopjimmy.com
You can try troubleshooting the power supply board. The only thing is it takes a little knowledge in electronics. The power suplly turns the 120VAC into DC. Then filter it and use it to power a Transistor. The transistor switches at a high frequency sometimes up to 200,000 cycle per second, and that drives a ferrite core transformer that distribute power to all the cicuit board inside your TV. You really have to be familiar with electronic components n how they work. If you don't already know electronic my suggestion is checking out electronic books in the local library first. Good luck.
