Kenmore elite he 3 front load washer
My washer won't drain heavier loads. It will drain if there is just clothes in it, but add a towel, forget it! I get the f2 error, which occurs and the end of the rinse cycle when it has about 4 minutes left. I have checked for blockage in the hoses and see nothing. It is about 6 years old.

Have you checked the drain pump reservoir? This is a common point where debris collects and causes slow drain and no drain issues with this washer. The following link provides guidance on how to check:

If you have checked the drain pump, have you checked ALL the drain lines? The drain line that leads from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the wash pump is another common area where items get stuck. Its also an area that most consumers forget to check. I have found small articles of clothing such as wash cloths, underwear and socks, stuck in this hose causing slow drain problems. NOTE: It is recommended that you use garment bags for small items).
If you verify everything and still have the "F02" Long Drain error, it is recommended by the manufacturer that you replace the drain pump. If anything has been in the drain pump for any length of time, it could potentially damage the pump impeller and/or motor. The pump may be running, but it may not be pumping.
