If the key will not turn in the ignition switch then there is a chance that one of the wafers inside the cylinder has split or jammed and is not reading the key proper. ( this is very common with the new Ford ignitions ) --- the best way to fix this issue is to have a automotive locksmith come out and repair the lock, they will remove the troubled wafers ( #1+#2 ). now before you call the locksmith you can ' TRY ' to spray a small amount of silicone or teflon based lubrication into the lock and put the key in and out a few times and try to get it to release,, ( NOTE: do not spray to much into the lock -- you are not trying to flood it,, just spray a little bit into the very begining of the cylinder and let the lube run down and thru the lock ).
