Kicker 1000.1 amp's protection light is on
I just had this amp moved to a new location in my car and had a new kinetik battery added. the only thing i can see wrong with the setup and could be the issue is the battery is grounded to my amp and the amp is grounded to the battery through the same ground line. if this is whats causing the amp to go out i need to know so i can take the car back to the guys who installed it and get it fixed. thx

It shouldnt cause it flash the protection light but you are correct in thinking they have wired it wrong ...
the ground of your amp should be grounded to the metal of your car not the battrie ....
