First I have to turn the gain and bass boost OFF completely on the amp, then same for the pioneer 500UB Head Unit.

Then when I turn the volume up to about 14/62 the amp clicks into protect.

I've narrowed it down to the amp or sub.

I have the sub wired at 2 ohms, (I've tried 2,4,8) (dual 4 ohm coils)

Circuit City installed it all, and did a horrible job.

Now they are closed and I need help.

All my wiring is correct.

Ground is good.

I've DMM'ed all wires, all fuses are good, etc...

Any help would be appreciated!!!!
